NIPER Ahmedabad and Trident Lifeline have partnered to bring the rare cancer drug Vorinostat to India through a technology transfer agreement. Prof Shailendra Saraf Director NIPER-A and Mr Hardik Desai Director Trident Lifeline signed MoU on 26 th Feb 2025. The drug is not manufactured in India currently and imported versions (ZOLINZA) cost around Rs. 14 lacs. We congratulate a team of NIPER scientists led by Ravi Shah, Derajram Benival, Dinesh Kumar, Amol Dikundwar, Pinaki Sengupta, and Rajesh Nadiminti and their students for developing the generic version of this drug. As part of their CSR initiative, Trident Lifeline will provide the medication free of charge to economically disadvantaged patients. This collaboration demonstrates NIPER Ahmedabad and Trident Lifeline's commitment to improving access to life-saving rare medicines through the Make-in-India initiative.
