Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, Hon’ble Union Minister of Chemicals, Fertilizers, and Pharmaceuticals, visited NIPER Ahmedabad, marking significant milestones in the institute’s growth and commitment to excellence. He laid the foundation stone for the Student Utility Centre, a modern facility aimed at enhancing student welfare, academic collaboration, and innovation. During his visit on January 18, 2025, he also toured the Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF), witnessing its advanced research capabilities in drug development, analytical research, and quality assurance. Additionally, he engaged in an insightful discussion with industry leaders and academia, emphasizing the need for stronger collaboration between academic research and industrial expertise to drive pharmaceutical advancements and healthcare accessibility. Shri Amit Agrawal, Secretary of the Department of Pharmaceuticals, highlighted Gujarat’s role as a pharmaceutical hub and NIPER Ahmedabad’s contribution to strengthening industry infrastructure. These events underscore the institute’s vision of fostering innovation and establishing itself as a global leader in pharmaceutical sciences.
