Research Interest

  • Our Group is interested in blending the strategies of synthetic organic chemistry along with the medicinal aspects of natural products for the development of New Chemical Entities (NCEs) against Cancer and Neurodegenerative disorders.
  • Total Synthesis and semi synthesis of bioactive Natural products and its structural modification via C-H functionalization and C-C coupling reactions.
  • Design and construction of fluorine containing scaffolds of pharmaceutical importance via C-H Bond activation. Incorporation of Fluorine into the bioactive natural product scaffolds and its biological evaluation.
  • Peripheral functionalization of porphyrin ring systems for photodynamic therapy.
